 ATHLETICS Summer Camps
For Camper Assessments or Camp Scholarship information, please see page 4 for more information.
Summer Baseball/ Softball Camp
Campers will develop new skills and refine existing talents
in baseball and softball. Each camper will be given a fitness test that covers different exercises so they can continue to develop baseball or softball skills on their own. Campers will visit athletic facilities throughout the Baton Rouge area. Local athletes will speak to them about opportunities that exist in sports and how to achieve their athletic goals. Campers will also be introduced to additional sports like volleyball, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, soccer, and kickball for an ultimate BREC Athletics’ Summer Camp experience.
Teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior on and off the field will be emphasized throughout the camp, as those characteristics are the foundation for a successful future on and off the field. Each week will have a focus on a skill for baseball and/or softball but campers will do a wide range of activities during the week. BREC Athletics encourages parents to register for at least five (5) sessions in baseball and/or softball skill to benefit from the program during the summer.
