Summer Camps
For Camp Scholarship information, please see page 8 for more information. Camp Sunshine
 Camp Sunshine is an exclusive summer camp designed for campers with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering different sections for ages 6-10, ages 11-15 and ages 16-20. All BREC summer camps are inclusive, but Camp Sunshine is for campers who need to function within a staff ratio of 1:5 and/or 1:10.
Before registration is complete, our staff would like to
meet with you to determine if Camp Sunshine is the right opportunity for you this summer by completing a recreational assessment.

Each themed week consists of recreational games and activities, arts and crafts, field trips, water activities and inclusive activities with other recreational camps to give the campers social opportunities to interact with their peers.
Camp Session Dates & Times

$100 per week for East Baton Rouge Parish residents $120 per week for out-of-parish residents

Camps for ages 12-15
Calling all teens to come explore your interest in today’s world that can lead to a passion for tomorrow. Choose what you want to explore this summer and impact our community while doing it. Weekly activities will include team building games, both passive and active, cultural, visual and performing arts, and career exploration field trips with hands-on experiences.

$60 per week for East Baton Rouge Parish residents $72 per week for out-of-parish residents

The CIT program seeks to help teens become effective camp counselors, strong leaders and valuable job candidates.
